SPICE Restaurant - Grand Re-Opening
Photos by: Skiz

Spice restaurant held it's Grand re-opening on Monday, September 11, to welcome it's new, world renowned chef, Marvin Woods. Known best for his cooking show "Home Plate" on Turner South, Woods recently made Atlanta his home and can be seen whipping up meals wearing his distinct "do-rag" in the kitchen at Spice. Teeming up with local entrepreneur and Spice Restaurant owner, Bruce Patterson, the two have created a new menu featuring appetizers consisting of a decadent array of hush puppies, a variety of low country boil items and crab cakes. Entrees include an Herb Crusted Halibut, NY Strip and a unique Fried Chicken that you'll have to taste yourself to believe!

Not only has Patterson acquired a new chef, he has also renovated the restaurant to include a larger patio available for not only dining, but includes lounge chairs, tables and umbrellas for casual conversation as well. Patterson has done a complete overhaul on the building's interior: new floors, curtains and lighting fixtures to name a few (go check out the unique, one-of-a-kind "center-piece" hanging above the bar!). The private dining rooms have also been renovated and are sleeker and sexier than before. Opening in December 2000, Spice has held it's own for the last 6 years, making it one of the pinnacle restaurants in the Midtown area. Spice is located at 7 93 Juniper Street or just look for the landmark Spice Billboard! Reservations can be made at 404.875.4242.  www.spicerestaurant.com
